Mail Manager CBT Introduction

Course Goal

This complete course  is aimed to assist System Managers, Administrative and Clinical staff who use or wish to use Mail Manager, in particular to receive and manage pathology results in XML format.

Note that other XML messages can also be received in Mail Manager such as Out of Hours reports, ETP and PDS Updates etc... and also GP2GP messages.

GP2GP messages are mostly automatic, though GP2GP Record Transfers need to be filed when received. This is covered in this GP2GP User Guide. Which may also be downloaded from the INPS website under Client Zone - Downloads - CfH - GP2GP for future reference.

Objective

This course enables system managers to set up Mail Manager for the practice, it demonstrates some of the tasks that administrative staff in particular might deal with such as allocating messages to staff, assigning unmatched results, etc... and explains how clinical staff may workflow messages received in Mail Manager through the practice by using actions and free text, etc...

Who should take this course?

All practice staff should participate in this course as each different type of message received in Mail Manager may eventually involve most members of staff having to either assign, allocate, action messages or relay information to each other or patients' regarding Mail Manager messages.
